Message in a half full or half empty bottle, it is part of the personal study "The project + -". A research work on the different forms of expression of the photographic negative, the basis of analog photography, where an image goes from being latent to becoming something real. A kind of magical power where one passes from nothing to everything, from least to most, from negative to positive.
It tries to be a photographic interpretation of the duality between positive and negative in a photograph with the power of electrical conductivity of water, where electrical conductivity is understood as the direction of current circulation as a flow of charges from a positive pole to a Negative pole.
The water molecule consists of one oxygen atom and two hydrogen atoms (H2O). It is an electrically neutral molecule, so by applying a difference of electrical potential, it would not conduct electricity, but in the real world, water always has substances dissolved in it, like different salts, which cause the molecules to split into ions, which They are electrically charged and can be moved, so when a potential difference is applied, an electric current is created. From positive to negative.
In this photographic interpretation of the conductivity of water, the camera exerts as a salt element that makes the conductivity of the medium possible. Part of the camera is outside the water shown in positive photographic. The other part, in contact with the water is shown as a photographic negative, interpreting in this way a positive or a negative part, making possible the magical part of the electrical conductivity, the magical part of the latent image to the real one and enabling so the magic part of the positive to the negative.
The camera submerged in water is interpreted by working the image in a photographic negative of different parts of the interior of the camera, as if a mental dissolution or deconstruction of it were treated, as would a salty element in solution with water , ionizing the elements that compose it, allowing the passage from a positive side to a negative side.
